Heya! I am Alette Farzad, also better known by Someone or variations on CertainlySomeoneHere online. I enjoy keeping myself busy, having done game development, writing, community management as well as teaching historical swordfighting. Of course, I am also the founder and maintainer of this little creative corner. Below this post you can find out about all my personal projects that I contributed to!
The game project I’m currently working on is Switch. It’s a black-and-white puzzle platformer where a detective is chasing after their cat. How do they do that? By ‘switching’ the world around, flipping all colours! Check the game out on itch!
Additionally, I’m very loosely working on a personal writing project by the name of Wake of Echo. This is a superhero story set in a 2016 era world where a government assassin and an escaped experimental weapon team up and discover truths that lay hidden in their city. I plan to post some draft chapters of my writing here soon-ish!

Games
Doolhof - 2025
Doolhof is a game I developed for my thesis, which was themed around teaching AI literacy. In this game, players find themselves stuck in a maze and are tasked to navigating through it with the help of an old-fashioned handbook and a modern genAI called Rosie. Through gameplay the player is encouraged to interact with the AI in a critical way to escape the maze. You can find the game (in Dutch) here.
Eden’s Garden - 2024
Eden’s Garden is a murder mystery game following the style of danganronpa. I joined the team as translation engineer, to try and enable fan translations of the game. Unfortunately as of 2026, due to unfortunate circumstances, the development of the game has been permanently cancelled.
Market Meltdown - 2022
Market Meltdown is a visual novel made as part of Autistic Creative Festival GameJam organised in 2022, and was coded by me! It showcases the concept of ‘Sensory Overload’.
Writing
Writing has always been one of my oldest and most beloved hobbies. In recent years I’ve started to slowly get my writing out in the world.
Comics
Over the past years, I’ve dipped my toes into making comics. Some of these even got featured in a cool anthology! These were always collaborations, as while I love to write and design comics, I cannot actually draw them myself. So please go check out the artists I mention below!
PS: I plan to add a secret page soon with some more of my comic works documented / full comics. Keep an eye out for that!
Sensory: Life on the Spectrum is an anthology I contributed to, organised by Bex Ollerton. Two comics of mine were featured, one in collaboration with Laila Ahamad, the other with alex1in100.
Other Writing
